Website Description : Sundareswari Medical Educational Research and Social Welfare Charitable Trust was founded in the year 1996 by our late Secretary Thiru.R.Annaduraiselvan, M.Com., an eminent and popular industrialist. He ventured into the educational field to cater to the need of the literates of Srivilliputtur and Rajapalayam Taluk. This wish has bloomed into Sri Sundareswari College of Education. To begin with, he acquired land for the trust at Malli, a village about 8 km away from Srivilliputtur Town. The institution was first affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai in 1996-1997 and later to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai – 600 005 in Tamilnadu. A team of well qualified Principal, Teaching faculty and Non-teaching members were appointed. In the first year 100 students were admitted in January 2007 and they appeared for the University Exams in Dec. 2007 as the course was run for the calendar year 2007. In June 2007 another batch of 100 students have been admitted in the Academic Year 2007 – 2008. They appeared for the University Exams in June 2008. The trust is trying to start M.Ed., Degree Course in near future.
