Website Description : The origin of Dayanand College, Ajmer is unique in ways more than one. The college owes its existence neither to the Zeal of an educationist, nor to that of a social reformer. It is arisen like the fabled pheonix from the ashes of a blossoming flower Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Swami ji was consigned to panchtatva on the 31st October 1883, in Ajmer while his moving soul became a moving spirit for those who followed his footsteps. It was in the year 1888 Pt. Jiyalal ji’s thought of setting up a school for imparting value oriented education. In due course of time, incessant efforts of Pt. Jiyalal Ji’s and later Prof. D. Vable transforming that little school into a leading college. Their Efforts have now become the folklore of the region, Dayanand College was established in 1942. It is one of the best educational institutions of India. Its educational program aims at all round development of student’s personality. It has evolved Five- fold educational program what one may call panchmukhi Shiksha comprising of (i) Physical (ii) Practical (iii) Aesthetic (iv)Moral and (v) Intellectual that makes a student’s an integrated personality. Over the year’s Dayanand College, Ajmer has developed into a centre for Excellence in the field of Research and Consultancy. Spread over around 250 acres of land and Agriculture Farms the college is providing education to nearly 2700 Student, in agriculture stream 240 students doing studies every year. It is one of the most credited institutions for the study of Agriculture courses. The College was taken over-by D.A.V C.M.C, New Delhi in the year 2000 and ever since then it has become the part of a greater tradition and a better one. The College having grand and classical architectural design and layout is built in Jodhpur stone, the main building being silhouetted against the Aravalli’s on one side and with the backdrop of the vast grassy pastures and paddocks, on the other is something that allures and fascinates anyone who ever and whenever visit the grand institution. The college is also privileged to have a well-equipped multi-station gym, along with 25 metres swimming pool football, hockey and cricket playground, badminton and Lawn tennis courts and 400 metres cinder track and so on and so forth. The College has vast agricultural fields along with dairy farms with number of cattle.
