Website Description : In 1865 AD (ME 1041), Rev: Dn. Gevarghese Poikkathil submitted an application to the Govt seeking permission to construct a church at Vengoor. After a period of five years i.e., in 1870AD (ME 1046) it was granted. On 16th of November 1870 when H G Pulikkottil Mar Dayanasius of Malankara Church had a holy visit to Kunnukknrnty Church, he blessed the foundation stone for the church to be constructed at Vengoor, which he entrusted the then Vicar Rev: Fr. Paulose and gave a bull to build the church.
